Green is My Favorite Color

According to those who know me,

I am a purple person through and through;

However, I must profess the falsity of this.

When I was much shorter, perhaps three,

I was adamantly infatuated with blue;

However, this was not the permanent case.

When I told my older sister I found blue pretty,

She told me that was her favorite color too!

The only thing is, she refused to share her bias.

She told me to change the color I found pleasing,

So I asked her if green was another taboo

(Because green was made from blue, wasn't it)?

She said green wasn't blue, and no longer disagreed

I constantly said that I loved green through and through,

Until one day it ended up being true.

Green is my favorite color to this day exactly.

This memory is the one that taught me to view

My little sleep as more than it is, and (sometimes) it works.
