After?

After life? After death?

What will happen when I rest?

Will I fly, as if a bird?

Will I just die?

It seems absurd...

To think that all I have achieved,

Is forgotten, wasted, drowned in grief

I'll never know, nor will you,

What happens when our time in through

Until we get there,

We cannot see

The beautiful place the world could be.

I'll fly around,

Just like a bird

Not making a sound

Or so I've heard.

The afterlife,

Come what may,

I'll be with you always,

Day by day
