Unexaggerated
I don't think people exaggerate teenage love. Granted, I'm not saying that all of the terrible romcoms and made for T.V. moves are accurate, but I do think that there is merit to be found in how young love was and is portrayed. There's something heady about it, the rush of emotion and it makes every thought and feeling feel a bit more there. Something about young love brings out a certain rawness in us, a certain passion. Everything becomes sharper, more real. You feel disoriented when he touches you, and you smell him even when he isn't there. Your heart jumps everytime you see him, and you can see your own feelings reflected in his eyes. It's heady, and not many people experience it. But the ones that do know the magnitude of the gift they have recieved, and they keep it closely to their chests, protecting it from the world around them.
