Challenge
you.
I love the second person point of view because it is so universal: it could be anyone; it could even be ourselves. My challenge for you: write a piece of poetry or prose so ambiguous that the "you" could apply to anyone, everyone, or no one at all.
To whom ever is reading this
Hi
You don't know me and I don't know you but at this moment in time we can both agree on one thing; you are reading this.
Or maybe you're not. Maybe somebody is reading this outloud and you'd really like them to shut up already.
But let's say you are reading this...why?
Are you trying to judge the people in this challenge?
Or are you looking for something that resonates with you?
I can't answer that.
Because I don't know you.
But in this moment in time I'd just like to say this:
Hi and nice to meet you.
