Choked
I strode across
That field of green
To find you gone
Choked strangled and killed by doubt
A doubt of your true intentions
But I won’t deny
I watched you die
All for the love
Of personal gain
And the worst part
Is I don’t regret
Letting you choke
On a plastic rope
Hung from the branches
Of a tree that you nurtured your whole life
