Accepting Fate

Scrambling to fight

To ward off the coming defeat

I anticipated the light coming

Why am I not ready to surrender?

To accept my fate?

I should have fought longer

I should have tried harder

The light was taking over

I loathed the brightness

Exposing all of my secrets

I knew I wouldn’t be able to hide

If I faced the glare

Now there is no choice

I will have to accept

Struggling I will go

But I can not win
