Polite
Fuel indicator was almost in nill position in my motorcycle. I passed by a public petrol pump. There were many people in the queue hence, I moved forward thinking that I would stop at the next station. There was a notification for 'no petrol' in the next three consequent stations. I thought petrol is getting low. I returned to the public station. The line was a little longer. I crossed the road and tried to be in the queue. Another bike crossed me and lined ahead of me coming from another direction. One more came from the roadside and lined up to that one as if I am out of line. It was a narrow track that time between the wall and a pole. When bike ahead of me moved, forward next one tried to move following that one. I became angry spontaneously. The man became angry too and said that I was in offline and trying to penetrate.
I said, No I am in line you are out of line"
"No, I just followed the man ahead of me and you came off the line"
"No, the line does not go towards the road, I just gave chance to that man and you are following him, in this way, I will remain out"
He said, with confident, "No you are trying to get into line, follow the line behind me"
I said, "Think from your common sense, how a line can go to the roadside."
I used common sense and tried to understand the situation. I said," Ok You will fill up your tank before me but let me first get into line."
I moved ahead of his with little force. Crossing the narrow path between wall and pole track was little wide. Two lines were running there and there was sufficient space too. I aligned my motorcycle towards the right and looked at the back. I indicated the man to move forward overtaking me. But he did not like to do so. He did not say anything but I guess he said, "It's OK.
I continued moving in the queue as it moved. I was pondering. I talked to myself, "People show power to power, and politeness to polite one." If the problem is so simple, why should we fight?
