Crepuscular
I.
By the window pane I look,
With the stars as the source of light I took.
Shimmering, Glittering in the peaceful night,
Wondering at the beauty of this sight.
Will I be able to see this again?
Will I be there to see it begin?
II.
Do you remember that Night?
That Night when there was never a light?
A light to protect me,
And a light to help thee.
The Night, that I call you the Raven,
Was the life that was once my safe haven.
III.
You once whisper to my ear,
The mantra that was never here.
A silent prayer that was never heard,
Like a coo of that black bird.
Does this silent mean anything?
Or had the darkness devoured something?
IV.
I lie awake in the stillness of the night,
Waiting to be consumed by the power of the light.
The animals start to wake,
And sounds were echoed by the lake.
The foul stench of the animal,
and half quarter of that decimal;
Has flown through the nightly air,
Surrendering with the feeling of despair.
V.
I hear the rippling of the water... (Peter ... Pater ... Peter ... Pater...)
And heard someone reading a letter;
A letter that hatred had simmer,
Saying That someone has seen the Ripper.
A single grain of light was seen,
Consumed by darkness it has been.
And in the few years of twinkling -
Everything has disappear without us even blinking.
Everything ... has disappear without us even blinking.
