Obsession; dangerous, pathological, not normal

Passion; meaningful, desirable, purposeful

but sometimes that line

it's much harder to see

My passion has been called an obsession,

but my passion has led to self love

a desire to try hard

to be better

What you call obsession

many call their hope

a lighthouse that navigated them to safety

to the harbour of home

Before we were lost in a forest

then a purple light reached out to us

showing us how to love ourselves

A paradise awaited us

nevermind what others might say

daydreaming, believing in our selves

Awake at last, our souls singing out

reflections of our past

my persona I’ve learned to embrace

you call it obsession, I call it the answer
