Dear Shame,
Today or tonight we are all here. This time we decided to come altogether for you. We all wanted to honor you on your birthday. Each one of us just feels it in the air, it is a must. We are in endless numbers flooding here like an avalanche and nothing would halt us. We are so grateful, and it is thanks to you. We could be anything you incubated and wrestled to preserve. A brother and a sister of his, an old woman and a son of her smiling, an old man and a granddaughter of his, a rich man and a miserable guy happily on dinner, a young boy who ceased mocking or looking with scorn, a man who never made his family disgraceful, we could be writers and activists working to lift up morality, a man who cheats not, steals hates not, harasses not, envies not, a man in the service of man, or a man who triumphed over selfishness and devilish racism, we could also be a clan of Buddhist and Muslims living together with harmony, we could be individuals who do not drag behind unthinkable stereotype of others, we are people who discard anything that escalates into wars and bloodshed. Thank you for standing this ruthless against betrayal and greed on their way to slip into our hearts, we could have just sold each other for illusions, we could have been the ugliest of all sorts of things, and indeed you were right, nothing compares to respect and dignity, to the pervasiveness of morality, yes you are right, morality is not only in books, it is right in the air.
Again, thanks a lot…
