100 Word Story (Memory #68 - Laila)
I sip my coffee, my first of the day. I don’t remember how I got 5 kids ready for school without copious amounts of caffeine, but I did. I sit at the window, which has a draft. I’m fine because I’m in my heaviest sweater and my ever-present sweatpants.
I sip as the five cautiously make their way through the snowy sidewalk. When they get to the end of Evergreen, they leave my sight. I’m glad I never see that. I’m fine with what I see every morning.
The youngest sneezes. I whisper “bless you”.
I sip. They march. Evergreen.
