The Sacred Training Spot
Each girl gasped at the view! Rich blue waters flowed over the rocks and collected at the bottom. Trees swayed in, picking up droplets here and there, and sliding them down their branches to sip on. Small creatures seen only in books and scrolls scurried along the dark soil, and onto the smooth stones.
Luna, Rose, Melody, and Amber had never thought that a place like this could exist.
"This is known as Wilderness Falls," Rain explained, "One of the remaining sacred places in Enternia. It's been said that in spots like these, one can feel the spirits that once roamed these parts."
"And since you four are carrying spirits," Caden continued, stepping forth and cuttings Rain off. "A place like this should rouse them awake."
"I'm not sure I want to," Melody admitted, "From what I remember in my History studies, sprints didn't like humans very much." She nudged her brother. "Right?"
Lyon nodded in agreement. "They would slip into a person's body and drive them mad."
"That only occurred as a result of the Resistance forming," Derick corrected, adjusting his glasses, "The spirits did not like how they treated the land."
"They completely obliterated it," Luna added, folding her arms across her chest and staring out into the waterfall. "Clearly their methods haven't changed."
"Unfortunately, no," Rain concluded, "They're still terrorizing surrounding villages, and soon they'll be at the city's stone wall." He glanced over to his fellow guardians, each one nodding in agreement. "This is why Enternia needs you four. She needs you to work with the elemental spirits to bring peace back to our lands."
