Damned fly!
I was at the bus stop,
Feeling right wearing white,
When a fly started buzzing me,
Ignoring the risk to life
And those acrobatic flights.
"Go on now. I don't wanna feel you
Land on me again.
You do....I'll kill you."
He ignored my words completely.
My Fellow bus riders did not.
He perched on my shoe again
And I began to plot.
I slowly bent at the waist
So as not to disturb his rest.
Early morning violations
put soldiers to the test.
He hopped to another spot
Probably leery I would creep.
But I threw weak shots before,
Thereby lulling him to sleep.
Ranged to deliver the strike
I promised would surely come;
With no trace of hesitate
I exploded like a gun.
He dodged to his left;
A move I anticipated.
And I caught him in the trap
I, properly, had baited.
Some ears who heard my threat
Had focused on the episode.
An eye said "I see
You stroll the Warriors road."
