Pouah!
His accusing glare burns holes in my back as I try to avoid him.
*crash*
“Whaat!!” I turn around finally, “Can you please STOP doing that?!”
Like always, he says nothing. He just stares at me obscurely, gazing deep into my eyes. The staring match continues. For hours.
Or minutes maybe?
It seems as if we are stuck in a warped time bubble.
Finally I can’t bear it anymore. I shift my eyes, crumbling under his heavy stare. I am feeling too tired to do this right now.
Sighing, I rub my face wearily.
His amber gaze softens, shining with pain and sympathy. I understand the pain. It is me, after all, who has caused it.
But sympathy? For me? I have done nothing to deserve it. It really is all my fault. I shouldn’t have loaded all that on him. It was my burden to carry, not his.
I finally look at him, seeing him properly for the first time since months. He looks tired, worn down. His clothes are rumpled and his usually pale and creamy skin glistens with dirt.
A complete mess.
I wince guiltily.
I shake my head and stand up, giving in finally.
“Fine! I’ll do it.”
Noticing my shift, he brightens up.
“Idiot.”, I think fondly. He seems to be laughing at me as I draw closer. I glare at him playfully.

“Are my eyes deceiving me? Or have you actually decided to… *gasp*… clean your desk for a change?” my roommate pops her head in as I am in the midst of picking up a book. I stare miserably at the heaps of notes and textbooks. “Ye-es”, I reply, scowling.
He starts laughing even more.
Ugh! I hate my study table.
