Challenge
how do you know you are about to cry?
So, something really weird happened. I was talking to my friend about crying and I was like "You know how like when you are about to cry and your nose starts hurting?" And she was like "uh no" and I'm wondering now. Does everyone get the same feeling when they are about to cry? How do you feel right before tearing up? Poetry or prose. I'm excited to read what you think, so please tag me!
Crybaby
It starts with someone's words
They don't mean to hurt
Yet they make me question my worth
The words easily curl and grip
My jaw begins to tremble
All my words come out in shaky mumbles
The words then crawl to my cheeks
They turn towards my nose
Turning it as red as a blossoming, thorny rose
The words have finally reached my eyes
They twist and pull them tightly
Making hot tears flow against my face so unsightly
The words have become burning, bitter tears
They run along with my nose and sobs
Yet the words are still in my head, making my body throb
