A father – I have none. Didn’t know one.
Numb to the idea of it. I’m the same as him, will likely die the same as him. Alone, in a hospital, unforgiven and destined for hell. That’s the sad truth of it. A bad memory all the same. I am he and there’s nothing I can do about it.
