The Poem Of A Lost Soul
Sometimes the air gets cold
When the night is so alone
The crashing waves reminds me of a song
That I used to play in my mind not long ago
Sitting in the dark
Next to the palm trees and my thoughts
What could I have done to make them stay?
Life goes on and I’m sitting here alone
Waiting for a sign
To tell me they are fine in the afterlife
The wind caresses my face
Drying my tears while I look at the dark ocean
I can barely see the horizon were the sky and the ocean meet
Even the moon had gone just like them
But maybe I will see them again
Just like I will see the moon again
The wind is whispering
As I’m walking into the turbulent waters
The ocean is pulling me away from the shore
I can no longer breath
The waves are pulling me under
As life is drifting away from me, I see them
They are telling me not to give up on life
Because life is too precious to let pass by
I begin to see the memories we shared
Giving me the strength to make it back to shore
Where I stand alone, thinking once more
But this time I’m going to live
Remembering who they were
Finding the beauty in life
Loving me as I was, as I am and as I will be.
