And She Bravely Fought
A drop of blood
Fell on the mud
As she shed a lone tear
Her body dropped as she was,
Lead out of the door
And soon like the others
She was no more
Her family was torn apart
War and bloodshed ripped,
Apart every kind heart
The people were beaten,
Cut and whipped
Until from every man at least,
A drop of blood dripped.
Every day pain and torture,
Suffered she
Until her heart was filled with misery.
Every day she prayed to thee
That one day her country,
Would be free
Then finally come the fateful day
When the forces clashed,
In the month of may.
A warrior entered on a white horse
Standing tall admit the lying corpse
The way he fought,
The way he walked,
Gained admiration among people’s thoughts.
Praised was he for his kind eyes and smiles
His bravery was known for miles and miles
He was known as a legend
To make history
However to everyone
His face was a mystery
Finally towards the end of the May
The battle was to end that day
A hundred soldiers charged at him
But he fought he way
Through thick and thin
All of a sudden the battle stopped
All of a sudden his armour dropped
Everyone let out a gasp
For it was a WOMAN
Under man’s mask
Her lovely long blonde hair
With her eyes made a perfect pair
Before she hit the ground
She said
“Fight for freedom until you all are dead”
Her eyes held sorrow, grief and pain
As she remembered the enemy’s chain
The chain of pain and suffering, they had caused
Until every good man’s life was lost
A drop of blood
Fell on the mud
As she shed a led a lone tear
Her body dropped as she was led out of the door
As soon as the others
She was no more.
