Mojito
Weddings are boring. Elegant but mundane. Just two individuals decide to live together forever. The need for a grand ceremony, null noticed. The only compelling factor about a wedding is the wide variety of food. They welcome us with drinks and bid us farewell with desserts. Sweet in both savour and convention.
If we partake in a wedding ceremony, we would have to meet people we never want to, talk with people we never want to and, even when we try and stay aside, the weird people find us. When we are in dire need for some fresh air, we get crumpled in between people. There is no escape. It's a maze, a trap, from which there is no redemption.
Thanks to the current circumstances, the wedding parties have all been delayed. I would not have to be a part of a wedding in the foreseeable future, though I am concerned about what would happen then. A chain of weddings, it's far worse than a zombie apocalypse. I cannot even think of the possibility.
The last time I went to a wedding, it was so grand. The stack of drinks seemed to be infinite. I could not find an end to it. Even when the choices are highly limited, my mind reaches a dilemma. So this time, it was most probably the hardest choice I could take in my entire life.
As I walked on, I reached the mojito section. I have always loved that name. Mojito, it sounds funny. But I still had to choose from the wide variety of mojitos available. There were green, red, blue, yellow, orange and a lot of other colours. I could not distinguish the ingredient from the colours, but they were fascinating.
"The green one." My mind said.
The green one did look good. Bubbles were rising from the depths of the glass. The hissing sound and the secrets it possessed attracted me further. I went closer and closer.
Suddenly, my eyes noticed the board hanging over the green mojitos. It read 'Chilli'. Tensed, it called my brain.
"Brain, the green ones are chilli. He despises them. Ask him not to take it."
"Yeah, wait!" The brain replied.
"DO IT NOW!"
"OH! It's called learning by doing, sweetheart! Let him experience!"
Tongue: "This is a bad day!"
