Kid President
When I was a freshman in high school I had Ms. Rose's second period Spanish class. In the beginning of the year, we had to learn greetings such as 'how are you', 'good morning', and 'goodbye.' To do that effectively she made us watch a video of a little black boy talking about the world we live in. While watching this something he said caught me attention. He said "If it doesn't make the world a better place, don't do it" how as a human race can we identify with that? I'm sure you're probably thinking that I'm talking about war and racism. Well you're damn right I am. With all do respect to the military, but if we can solve it without guns and death, why don't we do it? And with racism, who are you to judge someone by what they wear or what they do never mind the color of their damn skin. Who cares if a group of black guys with sagging pants are smoking weed at their own home, who cares that the farmer looking guy is barefoot, who cares that the white teenage girl has Starbucks, who cares about the couple in the back making out. Who fucking cares! If their not hurting anybody let them be. Let people do what they want and help people who need help. That's how to make the world a better place. Don't judge on first glance, instead maybe make a game out of it. Pick someone you would judge and try to get to know them, go talk to them and have a five minute conversation, buy them a drink, share a laugh, an have fun with it. You just might make a friend that's worth while.
