Challenge
Limerick Memories
I thought it would be fun to write limericks for my friends about funny memories we share... but then I thought it would be even more fun to extend the challenge to the rest of you guys :) Just write a limerick about a funny memory you have, and tag me in the comments so I can read them. Looking forward to your entries!
"A limerick is a humorous poem consisting of 5 lines. The first, second, and fifth lines have 7-10 syllables while rhyming and having the same verbal rhythm. The third and fourth lines should only have 5-7 syllables; they too must rhyme with each other and have the same rhythm."
Unlikely Connection
There once was a man from Kentucky.
He wondered if he could get lucky.
He went to the fair
and won fair and square
an awful cute, new rubber ducky.
Then one day this man just felt awful
so he sat to eat him a waffle.
The food was so fine,
he went on to dine
by following with a falafel.
That night he lay down with his craw full.
The night air was split, it was ‘cawful’.
The bird was a crow.
He vowed it must go
if he had to do the unlawful.
But fortunately the bird spied him.
It sidled up then, right beside him.
Instead of a ‘caw’
it unveiled its awe.
It sure did beat bein’ inside him.
As awful a friend as this crow was
the man who had frowned had a good buzz.
The two, now a pair,
found love. This is rare!
The man didn’t care, but now he does.
