Stone king
You throw
A dagger at her
She doesn’t care about
the pain
She just wants
You away from her
You disgust her
You prey on those
weaker than you with
“A sneer of cold command”
A coward
And yet think you can
get away with it
You’re the one holding the gun
While she’s on the ground
Leaking blood
But you’re playing
This game as
the goddamn victim
Trying to pull
Her apart some more
Your claws extending
Even as she tried to flee
Placing stones to
Trip her
So she’ll fall down
She won’t let you get
Your hands on her
Or on anyone else.
Not anymore.
Can’t you see? How
she’s scrub desperately at
the blood stains
and clawing at
the scars
Because they remind her
of you and your
disgusting ways
Where’s your
conscience?
You’re nothing but stone.
Maybe she’s just too
Young and naive
To wish
She was in the wrong
And not you
You’re so toxic
like cyanide
And arsenic
And your broken heart
Is no excuse
For hurting someone
Or breaking another
(Who’s already been
broken too many times).
So now
I’ll take that dagger
And cut
The sliver of a silver string
that’s holding you to her
And let you crumble
So that “Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away”
There’s no more
guiltiness
No more
Sympathy
And one thing’s for sure,
You aren’t a king.
Never was.
Never will be.
