Toy Train
You know,
It really is bad enough being stuck at home,
A place which used to feel like Paradise,
Has now turned into A hell of my own desire.
Halloween is near,
And I find myself staying home,
No walking on the streets,
And talking with friends.
It was all fine...
Everything normal,
Sitting all alone,
At night,
Watching a horror movie,
On Halloween,
A day,
Where I should have been afraid.
But now,
I was just in pain at my loneliness.
Then a little fun made its way to me.
W h i t e n o i s e
A static screen,
No fear. It’s ok.
I listened as it echoed in my empty house.
Turn it off.
I thought.
Walking up,
I turned off the TV.
Nothing.
Still white noise.
Then, something else caught my eye.
A small girl’s voice came whispering into my ear.
"W h e r e i s s h e ? ? ?"
Turning in fear,
A young child was holding a toy train,
As she looked at me with a bloody face,
Asking where her mother was.
