“Dear Ernie” By Sentual S. October 27, 2020
Dear Ernie, I know right now you feel like you’re dying inside.
That rather you are inside of your own house or outside, there’s no place to hide.
All the tears your cried, all buried truths under lies.
All the ways your peers blind your eyes while you fought to survive.
Yet, you and I can clearly see that you’re still alive.
See Ernie, all those troubles died before you and there will never be another you.
People will try to bury you under blues and the flu.
However, as long as you show them that they can’t defeat you, they’ll soon will flee from you.
Haters having hatred in their hearts are, really tear themselves apart.
All the stress, all the energy, and time they put on trying to hurt others is really breaking their own hearts.
It’s not you but more of them within, that’s really falling apart off of the world and it’s charts.
So my friend Ernie, read this message and see that there’s so much more to see.
To me and others you may or may not see, want you to stay alive as long as you could be.
No matter what your past had or what you’re facing now, you can make it past any obstacle.
Like ice, issues you’re dealing with now will melt like a popsicle.
Cause all life is really is a game, with many stages you must surpass to arrive to the boss level.
Think of it as riding a bicycle, you just keep riding until you get to your designated arrival.
I know you may not be where you want to be right now but the only way to get there, is by not letting up.
Cause, once you hit rock bottom the only way to go in life is, back up.
You’re special and if you made it this far, than you can make it further if you want to.
Really, I promise you that life will only better if you keep moving and keep things true.
Ernie, just know I love you and without you, this world won’t ever be the same.
You are here for a reason, you are needed, and I’m blessed to have you in my life, since you came.
It’s ok to be sad sometimes but never feel like your life is nothing or ashamed.
From every word to every line, I mean everything in this poem exactly defined.
So stay strong Ernie, the darkest storms bring forward the brightest sunshines.
Love your friend, Sentual S.
