Time travel
As I stepped onto the platform, I watched the world spin and warp around me. The Year is 2349, time travel and inter dimensional travel are now possible. My name is Weston Spirit, and this is my experience with inter dimensional travel. It started as a regular day, I woke up, greeted my beautiful wife, and went to get the kids up for school. As I made breakfast I was watching the news. A particular ad caught my eye, it was a chance to win a vacation to another dimension. Of course, I entered. What I didn’t expect was the fact I would win.
A few weeks later I said my goodbye’s to my family, god I love them but they can get on my nerves sometimes. Living with a five, eight, ten, and newborn twins is a lot of work. I kissed my wife goodbye and got in the taxi that was sent to fetch me. As I watched our neighbors houses go by a million thoughts ran through my head, what if I get trapped? Will I ever be able to see my family again? What if I die? But I shoved those thoughts deep down. We pulled up to the huge building, and I was greeted by the woman who held the contest, Francine Rose. “Welcome Weston. Please follow me.” She said in a heavenly voice. I have a wife, why am I so attracted to this woman? I follow her inside. “This is where we part ways, please enter that door and a portal operator will take it from there.” She said, ushering to a door. Of course I thanked her and entered the room. “Welcome, please stand on the platform and your travel will begin shortly.” I heard a disembodied voice say. Strange, I thought but none the less I did what it asked. As I stepped onto the platform I watched the world spin and warp around me.
I closed my eyes until I felt the spinning stop, I opened my eyes and saw I was now on an island, gorgeous women greeted me. “Welcome dimensional traveler! We’ve been expecting you! Please follow us.” One of these women offered her hand and I reluctantly took her hand. I looked around as we walked, taking in the scenery. “Ah, my warriors, you’ve returned!” I heard an all too familiar voice say. I looked into the building the lead me too and found the source of the voice immediately. “Boss?” I ask, perplexed. How did my boss end up here? “I am afraid you have me confused with someone else. I am chief Quiet-water, leader of the Xandao tribe.” He would reply. “No! Your name is Henry prince, you’re the boss of prince enterprises, where I work.” I replied, beyond confused. “Sure. And your my wife.” The rest of the tribe chuckled at his joke.
I felt a light tap on my shoulder and I turned around, a was greeted with the face of my previous wife, Dorthy. “Dorthy? You’re here too!?” I said, looking at her. “Who is Dorothy? My name is Adina. I just thought you were cute and wanted to say hi” She replied, batting her eyelashes at me. “I’m flattered, but I’m married.” I went to show her my ring when I noticed it was gone. “Where’s my ring?” I asked. “What’s a ring? Here we marry by the male or female giving their partner a roasted turkey.” She replied. “A roasted turkey? Why?” I asked, confused. “Turkey is rare in these lands. You have to go up onto the volcano to get one. Without falling into the volcano.” She replied, looking off. “Okay then…” I replied. I look around and see a woman come out with two newborn twins, she sat next to my boss. Following her were 3 kids that were identical to my children at home. It’s my wife! I realized. “Courtney! Baby!” I yelled, running to her. “Uh.. my name is Veronica. And I’m married to Quiet-water.” She replied.
“What are you doing to my wife?” Chief quiet-water asked, glaring at me. “If you want her you have to fight me to the death for her.” The chief stood, showing how muscular he was. “Alright. Where? When? How?” I asked. “Here, now, with our tribes weapons.” He replied. “Give me a random weapon. I can beat you easily.” I was handed a strange looking weapon, it looked like a mix between a club, gun, and knife. “Let the battle commence!” He yelled, charging at me. I tried my best to defend myself but the weapon easily split me in two. Everything went black, the last thing I heard was cheering.
