i remember when

we used to like the songs

on the radio.

i would go to your house

and jam out to trashy pop

and we were happy

with our two person

dance party.

i remember how we laughed

and joked about our problems

because they felt so far away

i remember our dance parties

just me and you

and any more people

would have been a crowd.

i don't remember

ever feeling as happy

as when we used to love

the songs on the radio.

before we turned to rock and

death metal and obscure edm

we used to love the songs on the radio

and we would chill

in our own personal

dance party.
