Family
Spending time with family is something very important to me and my family. We always get together and we just have so many laughs. One of my favorite memories with my family is wehn we were having a big cookout because my great-aunt and cousins were home from Washington. All of my cousins and I were very little and it was finally a hot summer day after a week of rain. The yard was completely muddy and although all of our parents told us to stay out of the mud, we were all itching to play in it. My great uncle called all his nieces and nephews to gather around him. He was standing next to the biggest puddle and we all made sure to not get muddy when gathering around him like our parents said.
“I’m going to tell you all a story.” He said. “There once was this alligator, he was swimming along the river, looking for something to eat. He tried to catch a fish, but the fish swam away. Then he tried to catch a bird, but the bird flew away. Then, he seen a turtle swimming along. He opened his jaws wide and...” He then snapped his hands closed and jumped as high as he can into the mud puddle. The mud went flying everywhere and completely drenched all of us in mud. All of us kids started laughing histacrically like it was the funniest thing ever and we all jumped into the mud right after him. We all had so much fun playing in the mud, that none of our parents were actually mad. Uncle Tim was so cool in all of our eyes. We laughed and played in the mud for hours after that. It is a memory so fond to all of us that whenever we miss him, we all bring it up. Even though the story brings tears to our eyes, it brings smiles and laughter also.
