I would take into account my own situation, knowing that the partner, whichever partner, I choose for this friend will fulfill every need adequately.
I might be reluctant. But, hey, I've got a job to do. Since each of these prospects will be copacetic for my friend, I'm off the hook. In other words, I've done my level best. Now it's time to turn my attention to the two potential matchs. One or the other may be just the ticket for another soul in need on my list of lonely hearts. I see who I can best fit with one I'm needing to pair up, and the other is elected to be my friend's life partner, by default.
