Likes and Dislikes :)

I’ve already made a couple of lists like this, but personally I love reading and writing little introductions - perhaps you do, too, so I’ll write another.

Likes:

1. The colour green.

2. The smells of the ground after rain, woodsmoke, (particularly woodsmoke and rainy earth combined on winter days) and onions frying in niter kibbeh, a kind of African butter.

3. Bluegrass music.

4. Spring, but it’s pretty much tied with autumn.

5. Mornings, especially sunny or rainy ones, but I like to go outside each evening to write or just think.

6. Whistling and winking ;) I whistle while I walk, while I write or read, while I hang out washing, and while I brush my hair (unfortunately whistling is rendered impossible when brushing teeth).

7. Singing Deanna Durbin songs while washing dishes.

8. When my dog accidentally somersaults because he’s so excited and he trips while he’s running.

Dislikes:

1. Grey days. A day should be either sunny or rainy, as I said before, but one that is neither feels very dull and unfriendly.

2. When it rains for a week while I’m on holiday at the beach :,(

3. When people type “lol” at things that aren’t actually terribly funny and you know they most definitely didn’t laugh out loud.

4. When random people very purposefully avoid looking at me as I pass them on the street ... maybe they’re just so used to looking down at their phones that they’ve forgotten a world exists outside of the internet?

5. K-pop and manga.

6. A lack of grammar and common sense.

7. When someone misunderstands me over text and I try to explain myself but only lead them into further confusion.

8. When I pick up a nice apple from the fruit bowl and it’s rotten on the opposite side :(
