We Sit

we sit

looking out at the mountains

or across the lake

or over the bright meadow flowers

or into the depths of the trees,

and all we do is what we need to survive

and breathe

and connect with the flow

of the universe

because with no competition,

there's no need to prove ourselves,

no need to gain,

no need for pride or greed or pain

so we sit
