My Turbulent Childhood
She woke up early in the morning left for work as usual, grandmother followed her shouting "Lucy, Lucy! I think you have forgorten something" Lucy turned around and gave her a humble look, saying "sorry Mum i think i forgot" she pulled out of her handback a five shilling coin and gave it to her mother.
Lucy is the first daughter to her mother, she is a proffessional nurse in a provincial hospital in Tanzania, she has four children that is three girls and one boy, where the lastborn girl is from a different man, and the other two girls and the only boy is from one husband, who was her first husband. She is living with her mother as a result from the first troubled marriage, and the father to her last born just dissapeared, his whereabout remaining unknown.
Yusta the mother to Lucy used to take care of the children while Lucy was went to work, she could wake up early prepare breakfast for all wake the kids up, clean them up, and walk them to school, while Lucy goes working.
One afternoon our elder sister rushed from the landlord's house shouting, "there is a call from Dad." We were all puzled as he was not used to calling or even writting mails, as his kind of communication was to wait for his children to visit him physically.
Latter that evening my sister told Mum there was a call from Dad and that he had said he wanted the whole familly to go and visit him soon....to be continued.
