The Dog and the Cat by Sofia and Stellar written when we were seven years old

Once there lived a dog and a cat. They were going to have babies. But they were scared anyway. Because they heard on the new that there was a hunter in the woods near their home. When their owners heard the news they moved away without the dog and the cat. That's when their adventure began.

One sunny day, the dog (who's name is Margie) found a cave for her and the cat (who's name is Nisa) to have their babies in. And after a long night they finally had their babies. All day they played with their babies, until dawn. You see, Nisa and Margie were best friends so they did everything together.

The next day they had more fun. They played games like hide and seek and tag. Margie heard the sound of water near so she and Nisa and the babies went to check it out. It was a stream!

"Good," said Nisa. "Now we can have fresh water to drink." So they drank and drank until they were filled with water.

"Well, we better get home," said Margie. "It is starting to get dark."

So they went.

At midnight, the kittens and puppies awoke to the noise of growling! When they looked outside, they saw their moms fighting a grizzly bear!

"Attack!" Cried one of the kittens.

"No!" Screamed Margie."

"No, we want to save our family!" Screamed one of the puppies.

Then all of the puppies and kittens said, "Charge!" all at the same time.

A couple hours later the babies and mothers awoke on the ground of the cave all wounded up.

Meanwhile, the grizzly bear was so mad he went and destroyed a beaver dam to get the anger out of him.

Slowly the water started to spread everywhere. Slowly creeping toward Margie and Nisa.
