Our Old Hideout.

I still remember when we were young,

This swing was the first thing we hung.

We met here every day after school,

We even made our own pool.

You said we needed a code,

Like the children we were, we said green-eyed toad.

Vowed never to change it,

Now alone I sit.

Sitting on this old swing,

Wishing I could change everything.

I know I should change the code,

But since you left time has slowed.

Even though I know you aren’t coming down that road,

I’ll keep it as green-eyed toad.
