Time when light came

When light came, I was not prepared. It burned me and got to me through a little hole in my hard shell. I didn’t even know I could see. Only thing I knew I could feel and the feeling was the only thing that I had. What did I feel? The hardness of the shell that I was surrounded by. I didn’t know what the shell was made of, but it was especially hard when I slept. In the morning everything was aching and my full body would hurt to my soul. I didn’t even know that I had a soul. The pain would surround my heart like a hand and would slowly tighten its grip around it. But when the light came, the pain went away and the strange feeling came towards me. It was so warm. I never felt so before and the feeling would not leave me, even when the light was not around. I don’t know how it happened, and I didn’t know when it happened. Only thing I knew was that I had it and it felt different. I had a mighty urge to be closer to the light and to escape my crust. It was hard and I couldn’t do it on my own as the light helped me. It broke my barrier and took me to outside world.

World outside of the shell was odd, it didn’t appear like I used to see. World didn’t change but some parts of it had gotten better. As we walked, I discovered extra parts that I had never seen before. These parts were very bizarre and intriguing. As we walked, the light took shape. It was like mine, but had negligible differences which I adored. Soon it spoke:

- I was looking for you. What a wonderful life has you created.

- I created?

- Yes, we all were together and then you left. I see why.

- I had the urge to leave. I came here and existed and soon would take shape around me. But I was getting tired, so I slept and pain came.

- You can’t make life by yourself. We are not strong enough alone. I was seeking you for this, as I promised.

- What will happen to this place?

- It will return to you and you will be full again. You made a beautiful life, but your life essence alone is not enough.

- I don’t want to create life. I am afraid. Even this was a mistake. I didn’t want it. It came to life by itself and now it is dying.

- That is a cycle, no life is eternal. We will also perish to give way to new life, as others perished before us. We did not start this cycle and we are not in right to finish it. This is how we are eternal.

- I since that but I don’t want to be part of it.

- Then universe will not be cleansed and will be spoiled. My life will rot, and so will we.

You have one purpose. You will do it regardless of your believed and decisions. As you have done already. We are nothing but tiny seeds, but we are carrying biggest duties of all. We come from old gods and will give life to new ones. Our lives are insignificant but never less so important.

- What if the life which we create becomes evil? What if it will spoil and destroy other lives?

- Root of evil will not come out of the seed of good. We cannot live its life, but all our intentions at creation will be passed down to the life that we will make.

- Have you made life?

- We had. We had made life many times, thus cleansing the universe and granting it eternity. This is the reason of existence of our universe. Without us, it will disappear.

- How do you remember all this?

- I am aware of myself. I have seen the creation of life and I have chosen my partners ever since.

- Have you created life on your own?

- We create life. We can create life on our own. But this life is not full and cannot exist long time, nor continue creating life. Thus, the life essence that we spend in creating a life on our own returns to us. But as we create more and more lives, our life essence spreads and more and more pairs are needed to create.

- How much more we need?

- We need none other. We are in the beginning. We are only two. From us will before and life will spread in the universe.

- I am not ready.

- You need not to be ready. You are born ready. You just need to be.

With that, I was lit up and lost my previous appearance. World around me faded, and we became one. With all my urges, I went to her and surrounded her with my light. As I hugged her, she went inside my body. We became one. We became light.
