The snake that slithered in Eden
The slithering snake slid silently past winding trees and crooked roots that gnarled over soil. Sap slid slowly down the oak of the looming trunk, Sickening hisses sounding past stagnant air.
The snake surrendered the solitudal safety once afforded to him, sacrificing sagacious sentiments for superficial sacrosanct subjects, serving only to sedate struggling mortals in their conquest of self-righteous, semantic scorn of all that is holy. The snake’s grin was scathing, if the mortals wanted to surpass their god, sever their servitude, so be it.
