“Ran over by Mammoth, again”
That was the title of the news article that Randy was reading. Reading at the Mammoth park in Siberia's Royal Mammoth park. Located probably around the middle of the nation, Randy was not that good with geography. The article was over 3 months old, but while it was reporting the most recent incident, the more Randy read, the more he realized that such wildlife and people interactions were getting very common at the park. The royal park had an average of four incidents a year, not as bad as Alaska's or China's, but there seemed to be little government regulation in the area. Each of the last six articles he had read mentioned the tourism money that the parks made for each country. Russia's three different national parks made more than two billion dollars each season.
"Adam, while not being the first to get ran over by a mammoth, was the first person to have been ran twice by a mammoth in the same year. The first time occurred at the end of Januery when he was visiting Alaska's park. His group of friends, five in total, were reportedly throwing stones and beer cans, not typically allowed in the parks, before a mother mammoth started attacking the bus. The attack lasted roughly 30 minutes before any park rangers were able to sedate the creature. However, three of Adam's friends, two of whom were reportadly engaged to be married later in the year, were already died. Adam, got away with only having had his foot been stepped on, but the other, a teenger who we will only identify as Jane, was not so lucky. She currently is still in hospital with two broken legs, one crushed arm, and a head injury on the mend. Adam, however, was not so lucky this second time. He now as both arms and legs broken and another traumatic ankle injury. Legally, we cannot post any picutures of either incidents, but any internet search will reveal very graphic images of either event as well as many other events that have ocurred over the years. legal staff representing many of the mammoth parks around the world are doing everything they can to decrease the spread of these newsworthy items. However, there are two things that they are happy to spread like wildfire. The reason that Adam was at this second park in the first place after only recently recovering from the incident earlier that year, and the fact that he had smuggled a rifle into the park. For those who do not know, the name of the mother mammoth in Adam's first encounter was named Ridley, due to how protective she was of her family. Ridley, who was also nicknamed "killer" or "protector" depending which side you are on, was the very same mammoth responsible for Adam's second encounter. Even after Ridley was secretly transfered to Siberia's park for security reasons. Adam was able to find her location, and this secound encounter was due to a failed revenge plot."
Randy set his computer down to adjust his camera pointing at the drunk rich college kids' car ahead of him. Currently, they had started throwing rocks and beer cans at one of the mammoths closest to them. This was what he had been waiting for the last month. His big break.
