Dirty fryer? The easy trick to clean it
Quickly and effortlessly!
The fryer is practical to use but it is not very easy to clean. The fat that accumulates from its constant use is difficult to remove with a simple wash and therefore you must clean it every time you use it.
How to clean the fryer
Step 1: Remove the oil
Unplug the fryer and allow the oil to cool. If the oil is cloudy or smelly, throw it away. Otherwise, use it again.
Step 2: Wash the basket
Fill the sink with water, add 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid and a cup of white vinegar. Let the basket soak in the mixture and clean the inside of the fryer.
Step 3: Clean the grease from the fryer
Use a scraper or soft brush to remove as much grease as possible from the inside of the fryer. Pay special attention to the corners.
Step 4: Soapy water for stubborn fats
Fill the fryer in the oil line with water. Add a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Turn on the fryer and let the water boil for about 10 minutes. Once the water has cooled, pour it into the sink. Add a few drops of dishwashing liquid to a sponge and wipe the whole fryer. Remember, the fryer is electric so you do not use water to wash it.
Step 5: Baking soda
If grease does not come out, clean it with baking soda. Make a paste with baking soda and water, spread it on the difficult areas and rub with a sponge. Clean with a dry cloth. Alternatively instead of water use vinegar for even better results.
Step 6: Clean the basket

After the basket is soaked, rub it well with an old toothbrush or a soft brush. Rinse well and allow to dry.
How often should you clean the fryer?
If you use the fryer often, every time you change the oil, you can clean the basket and about once a month you should follow the above procedure to remove the fat before it accumulates. This way the fryer will stay clean without bothering.
