No. 5
I know of many types of love.
There are ones you read about in books
There are ones even the most soulless author would never write about.
The worst in all of these is the one unrequited.
Some come and go as the tide changes
But others stay and haunt you forever.
Your heart beats to the rhythm of theirs,
While their heartstrings play the tune of another's song.
You wait and wait hoping they will see,
That it's you meant for them,
When they hardly give you the time of day.
You can become friends,
Become as close as you can be,
But unless they feel a change of heart
It's likely not to be.
You can wish on as many stars you see,
Wait for as many 11:11's as you can count,
But the only way to change their heart,
Would be a change in the way they haunt.
