She

She has seen a lot but doesn’t speak of them, 

She has gone through a lot but doesn’t show it, 

She has handled herself with caution, 

For she is afraid to hurt again. 

She has left the past as the past, 

But fears it would disturb her future. 

As trust is sacred for her, 

Speaks of the past with those she trusts. 

Her little family means the world to her, 

She expects her friends to be as loyal as she is. 

She sees the best in everyone, 

Even in those who hurt her or put her down. 

She mostly puts others ahead of herself, 

Because she knows everyone goes through something. 

She may have gone through a lot, 

But she believes some have it worse than her.
