I was Young
I was young, a young idiot.
Youth wasn’t wasted on everyone, but it was wasted on me.
But no matter how many days I wake up and wish I could take back the things I said, the things I did, and the things I could’ve but didn’t say and do. There’s nothing I can do.
Because I’m pretty sure I’ll be dead before a dust bunny time travels.
So here’s my advice to you.
You can’t predict the future until you’ve lived it.
You never know what you should do until you’ve done it.
And even then you never know what would’ve happened if you chose the other path.
I was young, a young idiot.
You probably are too, and so is she, and so is he, and so is I prefer not to answer.
Youth isn’t wasted on everyone, but it might be wasted on you.
So you can only hope for that moment you realize it’s time to get smarter.
And by then you probably won’t be young anymore, and you’ll have no youth to waste.
