Endless Summer Night
Sometimes I wish for an endless summer night
Sweet cicada serenades as you drift down the lane
Enveloped by the glow of street lights
Your feet barely touch the ground
As crickets join the singing
And the air smells of fresh cut grass and possibility
Like anything can happen if you wish hard enough
In the twilight, I run headlong into my dreams
Until the sun breaks the horizon at dawn
And I must face the day
