I believe that everything happens for a reason. The world is such a complex and incomprehensible place, and there are some many things that even with today’s modern technology we cannot fathom or explain. With so much complexity and wonderful unknown mysteries, can we really say that everything happens just by chance? That it's all merely a coincidence?
I believe that there is a plan for everyone. Whether it be Gods plan or the will of the universe, there is a plan. The best example of this plan in action are the people around you. How many time have you ended up becoming great friends with someone that you never thought you would see as a friend figure? People have a wonderful habit of entering your life exactly when you need them to. I have made many a friend in the most random of circumstances, and more often than not they have comforted me or guided me, or just been there for a laugh and a good time, and visa versa. This is a great thing!
However, some people were only meant to be in your life for a while. For a particular event or a rough time, and then they leave. People come and go, floating in and out of other people’s lives like bees to flowers, staying a while to pollinate that flower and then moving to the next one. And this is how life should be. It's how we grow and develop, adapting to our ever-changing circumstances and discovering who we are as individuals. Each person brings with them a new perspective, a new personality and a chance to rediscover who you are.We all bring something different to each other’s lives, and call it fate or destiny, but people enter and leave your life according to a predestined plan. They're there when we need them to be, and when we no longer need, them they may choose to leave, they may decide to stay.
But as equally as we are predestined to meet people, the choices me make can determine where we end up. Plans change. You are not the same person that you were last year, or 20 or 30 years ago, and as we develop and change, so does the plan. If you are really meant to meet a certain person, eventually you will. You might just have go the long way round to get there. And that's okay! To steal a quote from John Green; "Forever is composed of nows". A predestined plan is not necessarily a forever plan, because forever is the end product of everything that happened in your life. A compilation of the choices you made (or didn't make), the things you did, the paths you took, and all the people who went with you. Predestiny is not a set path that you a forced to walk, it changes and adapts with you. And if you are really destined to do a particular job, marry a particular person or end up in a particular place, sooner or later the universe will guide you there.
