The Heart Does Not Forgive
Bitter fingertips creeping towards my neck.
Your claws seeping into my flesh.
You left me there with a knife in my heart.
You left me there in sorrow.
You left me there gasping for one last breath.
One last breath was not my final.
My final was not my last.
For I am not dead.
Dead I am not.
But I have not forgotten what you have done to me.
You tried to murder my heart.
You tried to break it to pieces.
Your tried to shatter it into a million pieces.
A million pieces it is not, for it is still beating.
Beating it still is.
Though in the depths of my heart there is still a scar.
My heart has not forgiven.
