My Brave F#ight Against Presbyphonia
You may well ask, "Am I defined more by the keys I've lost than by the neighbors I have?"
Not sure about my neighbors, but I've been losing keys regularly now since the age of 40. By that time I had already lost C4 to A5. The first one I lost as an adult was F# above C. Looks like I'll never sing that song from Annie again. I'm just kidding. Who could hit F# except for some little squeaky orphan girl?
As a child, I could hold my own with high tenors, but then I lost E5 through Bb2. Then went my Db5 to F2-. I suppose, therefore, you could define me as a high baritone, and that's OK, 'cause it's legal, even recreationally, in my blue state.
Thus, the answer is that I am defined more by the keys I've lost than the neighbors I have, which are a bunch of cows, anyway.
