The Morning Sounds
The peacock calls out so loud,
To declare to the world the sun is out,
I open my eyes to see the dark ground,
"Sleep on silly bird, the Nightjar is still around."
I rub my eyes to a chirpy chatter,
Wondering how amusing is the matter,
The cuckoo coos its presence aloud,
And there comes the sun peeking out of the clouds.
The rustling breeze makes fun of me,
"Wake up lazy one, the world is on a morning spree."
The night has withered away to its den,
I wondered what happened to the rooster and hen?
Untangle my sheet & I step out of the bed,
These sounds of the morning can enliven the dead!
