Sidetracked
Searching for one thing,
Ended up buying another,
Lost in the aisle as if I'm in another continent,
Trying to find half price because I like a bargain,
Reduced items,
The employees are not smiling,
Just waiting to go home,
As I look for lampshades and chairs,
And I can't find them anywhere,
Someone left their cart,
Filled with various items,
I took the Nutella,
Since it was just sitting there,
But can't seem to discover the notebooks,
My list is beginning to look expensive,
As more item's make their way onto it,
The line is longer than expected,
Praying that my credit card doesn't get rejected because of this list,
The cashier rolls her eyes,
As she scans my items,
Crushing my list I push it into my pocket,
I got sidetracked, again!
