My hand reached out, through the sheets, only to clutch at the familiar emptiness that caused my soul to drain from my body, leaving me breathless and weak in the knees.

Before, I had forced a mythic restraint against every fiber of my being, and did not run after you, desperately hoping that you would come back to where you didn't know you belonged.

But I guess you still couldn't find me, even in the night.
