Watching Rorschach

Rorschach is stalking the streets

possessed of no mystical powers

though he goes walking on water

reflecting the lights of the bars

from the gutters.

Rorschach is keeping a Journal,

a watch, & keeping one face

erased while extending the other;

it never stops changing.

He will change never.

Rorschach is looking for answers.

He has the time & the patience

and knows that the case can be broken—

the scum in the bars have plenty

of fingers.

Rorschach is bringing the fear

of all of the Gods, & the Devil.

He offers compassion to killers

with kerosene, handcuffs,

& matches.

Rorschach is making his rounds.

If you are human, there is no need

to be fearful. He’s for the vermin.

But Rorschach is stalking the streets,

so be good.
