I'll be missing you today and the day thereafter

It will be the ending and beginning of a brand new chapter

A story that starts with me and ends with you

The one that got away, a love that felt so true

But in this lifetime, we weren't meant to be

Just a love always waiting in the wings

A connection to be remembered in this life and the next

A kind that was written way out of context
