Midnight Sunburn

The world was pitch black. Not a single soul stirred in the cold night air. The moon had fallen. In its place was a sun with no glow. The heat was the same, but there wasn't a single ray of light reflecting off. It burned the living organisms, decaying. It burned the skin of humans, leaving a red mark. That's when the world knew, it was the midnight sunburn.
